The
goal of this course is to introduce you to the basic concepts of physics. You
will be able to understand and apply concepts, principles, and theories that
pertain to the world around you.
Physics is everyday! It is based on observations and measurements
of the physical world. Everything
around you is connected with physics in some form; it is basic of how the world
works.
A reminder that students must have 1200
minutes of lab to qualify for the regents exam.

Unit 3: States of Matter
Unit 4: Waves and Lights
Unit 5: Electricity Magnetism
Unit 6: Modern Physics
Policy for tardiness:
Three tardiness will
constitute a detention that will be served during lunch or after school on a
designated day.
Grading policy:
All work is assigned a numerical value based on the total points
possible.
This means that homework and class activities are just as
important as test.
Final Grades:
Each quarter grade will count for 20% of the final course
grade. All students will also take a
Mid-term and a Final, each counting 10% of the Final Course Grade.
