Classroom management:

1.  All students are expected to be on time and prepared for class every day.

2.  Every third tardy will receive an after school detention.

3.      Students are responsible for the textbook assigned to them.  Books need to covered with a book cover.  Any damage or loss will be charged to the student at the end of the year.

4.      All homework assignments will be completed on time and in ink.

5.      If homework is not turned in on time, a Mandatory Help form must be completed by the student.  During their next lunch period, the student will be required to attend Mandatory Help to complete the assignment owed.  If a student attends Mandatory Help the maximum grade the assignment can receive is a grade of 75%

6.      After an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to make up all work missed.

All students are to bring the following to class everyday:

1.      Textbook

2.      Binder or notebook

3.      Blue or black pen

Grading Information:

Quarterly grades will be based on cumulative points, with points given for homework, class work, essays, and tests.  The grade will be calculated by comparing points earned to possible points for each quarter.  Thus, homework can carry a lot of weight and should not be ignored.

Final Grade Calculation

Each quarter grade will count for 20% of the Final Grade.  All students will take a mid-term and a final exam each counting 10% of the final grade.
