A REMINDER REGARDING SCHOOL CLOSINGS AND DELAYS

EMERGENCY CLOSINGS

An attempt will be made to use the new Global Connect system to contact parents in the event school is closed, delayed or closing early. However, the following stations will continue to be notified.

The following radio and television stations will announce school closings:

WCDO – 101 FM and 1490 AM Sidney

WDLA – 92.1 FM and 1270 AM Walton

WSKG – 91.7 FM, WAAL – 99.1 FM, WHWK – 98.1 FM

WDOS – 730 AM and WZOZ – 103.1 FM Oneonta

WBNG TV Channel 3

The Daily Star will also publish our closings on their website at www.dailystar.com

When school is closed all other school-related events involving students will also be canceled unless otherwise noted.

In case of an early closing, these same radio stations will carry the important information for parents. We also attempt to call all parents with the Global Connect System with early closing information. It is important that we have the correct phone numbers to reach you. Please let us know if there are any changes in emergency numbers.

When we open on a one-hour or two-hour delay, this will also be announced over the above radio stations. The cafeteria will not serve breakfast on days school opens on a one or two-hour delay. Please make sure that your children are fed prior to coming to school.
