The Franklin Inn

 This is the Franklin Inn with the third story. The third story was added in 1867. They lifted the whole building up and built the third story on the bottom. It burned down in 1938. The original Franklin Inn was built in 1797. The Inn changed owners and names many times. Dr. Joseph Foote was a longtime proprietor who dispensed healing tonics from his rooms at the Inn. He was responsible for converting the main part of the building from 2 stories to 3 stories in 1867.
