A Note From 4^th Grade

Welcome to 4^th grade! I know you are all very excited about summer vacation and probably aren’t ready to be thinking about 4^th grade quite yet, but here are the things you will need to bring:

q Erasers (the pink, square ones and/or pencil top)

q Crayons, markers and/or colored pencils.

q A plastic pencil box (I like the ones from Walmart that are about 88 cents!)

q Student size scissors (Fiskars is an excellent brand)

q 1 box of Kleenex

q 3-4 pkgs of wide – rule notebook paper (unopened)

q 3 – ring binder (This will remain with your child until 6^th grade)

q A folder of your choice to carry homework and notes in.

q Pencils – for your child to keep in their desk (No pens)

q Optional - red pencil for editing papers

q Optional – small pencil sharpener with casing to catch shavings

Students will only need a homework folder. All other folders will be provided by the school, along with assignment planners. Please LABEL your child’s things. Students will be frequently asked throughout the year to replenish these items as we go through them quickly.

Please continue to practice your math facts over the summer. I do not re-teach these facts and spend minimal time on review. If you do not know your facts already, then this is your homework over the summer!
