Supply List:

What do students need to bring with them when they come to class at the start of the year?

  1. Large binder
  2. Pencils, erasers
  3. Index cards: blue or yellow
  4. Pens (no gel pens)
  5. Colored pencils or crayons (NO markers!)
  6. Folders provided by school
  7. Books
  8. Agenda provided by the school
  9. 2 One subject notebooks
  10. Loose leaf paper
  11. 3x3 post it notes

In order to be ready for each day you will need:

    1. Fully stocked binder (index cards, pencil pouch with pens and pencils, correct folders, agenda)
    2. Silent reading book
    3. Math and/or science book

Classroom Policies:

All final copies of writing pieces should either be typed or written in ink (blue or black).

All assignments written on notebook paper need to have the proper heading.

All assignments should be completed on time.  Late assignments will lose ten points each day.  Assignments will not be accepted after two weeks.

Missed work (due to absence or band lessons) is your responsibility. Missed work due to band lesson is due the next day. Missed work due to absence is due the day after you return to school. (i.e. If absent Monday and in school on Tuesday, Monday’s assignments would be due Wednesday.)

Helpful Hints For Parents:

In order to support your child’s learning I recommend that each night you:

  1. Check your child’s agenda book for the daily homework assignments.
  2. Check your child’s clear “Take Home” folder.  Here you will find important notices, as well as graded assignments that should be left at home.  This folder should be cleaned out on a daily basis.
  3. Ask your child about his/her day.  “What did you learn about in math/science today?  How is your silent reading book?”
