Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I am available in school hours (8:00 - 3:00) by phone and always by e-mail.

Supplies: All students are expected to come to class prepared and on time. Therefore, students are expected to have the following: Pencils/pens and erasers, planner 3- ring binder (or a section in one), and loose leaf paper.

Some items will be provided in class, such as ruler, compass, protractor and graphing calculators. These items will not be available for check out. They will be needed to do homework assignments and to prepare for exams, so a set will be needed at home. The calculator we will use in class is the TI-84. Students are not required to buy their own calculators but are highly encouraged to do so as they can be used on the Regents Exams, SAT’s and later in college. Statistically, students who own their own do better on these tests.

Assignments: Homework is assigned daily and the school’s Homework Policy will be enforced. All students are expected to turn in all homework assignments when due or attend the Mandatory Homework time that will be in place. Students are to show all their work. If no work is shown, no credit is given. Late assignments will not receive full credit except in cases of excused absences. Assignments will be posted in Power School by the end of each week. It is the student’s responsibility to make up work when he/she is absent. Extra help is available before school, 4th period, 7th period, 8th period, 9th period, and after school. Just Ask!!!

Grading: Grading will be based on cumulative points, with points given for homework, class work, quizzes, tests, and exams. The grade will be calculated by comparing points earned to possible points for each quarter.

Final grades will be calculated as follows. Each quarter grade will count for 20% with a Midterm Exam and Final Exam counting 10% each. Midterms and Finals will be given during an exam schedule as determined by the school. Exemptions will not be given from these exams.
