Budget Vote and Annual Meeting
This notice is sent pursuant to New York Governor Executive Order No. 202.26 to provide infomation regarding the 2020 Anuual Meeting and General Election of the Franklin Central School District ("the District")

Date of the Election: June 9, 2020 (via absentee ballot only)
Date of Budget Hearing: May 28, 2020 at 6:00 PM; information regarding accessing the hearing will be posted on the District's website at https://www.franklincsd.org

Definition of Qualified Voter: A person shall be entitled to vote on the District's 2020 Annual Budget and Election who is:
1. A registered voter
2. A citizen of the United States
3. Eighteen years of age
4. A resident within the District for a period of 30 days next preceding June 9, 2020 and
5. No person shall have the right to register for or vote who would not be qualified to register for or vote at an election in accordance with the provisions of section 5-106 of the ElectionLaw. 

  Absentee Ballot: In accordance with Executive Order 202.26, avsentee ballots will be mailed by the District to qualified voters. To request an abesntee ballot, please contact Donna Dean, District Clerk at 607-829-3551 or [email protected]  This request must be made by Friday May 29, 2020 for the absentee ballot to be mailed to you. If you choose to vote, absentee ballots should be returned in the self-addressed stamped envelope that will be provided to you. All absentee voters' ballots must be received by the Franklin Central School Office of the District Clerk by 5:00 PM on the day of the vote, June 9, 2020

Free Mass Food Distribution
**UPDATE** United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties announced the mass food distributions will no longer be open to the public. Due to safety concerns, space and time constraints, the ability to continue serving the community in this manner is "undoable," according to a media release.

Smart Schools Investment Plan

Smart Schools Investment Plan Updated 1/10/2019. In November of 2014, NYS voters approved the Smart Schools Bond Act. This Bond Act provides funding for improvement related to school connectivity and security measures. Franklin Central School received an allocation of $337,323.
